He is a celebrity Game Show Host, Announcer, Actor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gene Rayburn; one daughter, Carolyn Blankenship; one brother, J.R. "Bud" Spangler; and one sister, Aretta Seaton. At age 18 he moved to New York City, in 1936, to pursue a career as a radio disc jockey. He then began anchoring the childrens TV game show, Choose Up Sides aired on NBC, Saturday mornings from January 7 to March 31, 1956, as well as Dough Re Mi that ran on NBC from February 29, 1958, to December 30, 1960.
